❗How We Practice Cleanliness❗
A clean environment is an important part of keeping our rabbits healthy, comfortable, and happy. At Amber’s Flock Homestead and Goodies, we take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-managed space for all of our rabbits.
Our cleanliness routine includes:
• All rabbit areas are cleaned regularly to remove waste, refresh bedding, and maintain a comfortable living environment.
• Food and water dishes are routinely cleaned and sanitized to help keep fresh food and water available.
• Water bowls are checked daily to ensure our rabbits always have access to clean, fresh water.
• Living spaces are monitored throughout the day and cleaned as needed based on each rabbit’s individual needs.
• We provide fresh bedding and maintain proper sanitation practices to help reduce odors, bacteria, and unnecessary stress.
• We regularly inspect our rabbits and their living areas to watch for any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall condition.
• We practice proper hygiene when handling rabbits, especially when moving between different areas of our homestead.
• New rabbits entering our program are monitored appropriately to help protect the health of our existing rabbits.
Cleanliness is more than just keeping things looking nice — it plays an important role in supporting the health, comfort, and overall quality of life for our rabbits. We believe that happy, healthy rabbits start with a clean and caring environment.
Our goal is to provide a space where our rabbits can feel safe, comfortable, and loved every day.
❗How We House Our Rabbits❗
At Amber’s Flock Homestead and Goodies, we believe a comfortable and enriching environment is an important part of raising happy, healthy rabbits. We take pride in providing housing that allows our rabbits to feel safe, stay comfortable, and receive the care and attention they deserve.
Our rabbits are housed outdoors in DuMOR rabbit cages that allow for proper airflow, individual care, and easy monitoring of each rabbit. Each rabbit has their own designated space where they can eat, rest, and feel secure.
In addition to our individual housing setup, we also have a colony setup for rabbits that thrive in a group environment. Colony living allows compatible rabbits the opportunity to socialize and interact in a more natural setting while still receiving proper care and supervision.
We believe enrichment and interaction are just as important as a clean living space. Whenever possible, we allow individual rabbits time outside of their normal housing to explore, stretch their legs, and enjoy additional attention and playtime.
Our housing routine includes:
• Safe and secure individual housing for rabbits who prefer their own space.
• A colony environment for compatible rabbits who benefit from social interaction.
• Regular monitoring of each rabbit’s health, behavior, and overall comfort.
• Opportunities for additional exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention.
• A focus on creating an environment where each rabbit’s individual needs are considered.
Every rabbit has their own personality, and we believe their care should reflect that. Our goal is to provide a safe, clean, and enriching environment where our rabbits can thrive while receiving the love and attention they deserve.
